Demanding new pay scales, Kangra judicial employees stage ‘black’ protest in court complex, raise slogans

The Newz Radar

Judicial employees staged a protest in Kangra on Tuesday (September 27) in support of their demand for implementation of new pay scales.

The employees had tied black bands and raise slogans on the court premises in Kangra. The protesters earlier held a gate meeting as part of their phase-2 agitation.

The judicial employees across Himachal Pradesh raised slogans on their respective court premises demanding implementation of new pay scales.

Judicial employees’ union Kangra sub-division president Mangesh Kayasth and divisional general secretary Vandana Mehta said they had been protesting across the state since September 21. But no one from the government’s side had so far come to hear their grievances, they said.

The union members said the employees were “disheartened due to the cold treatment being meted out to them by the state government”. They said they would be intensifying their agitation if the government didn’t accede to their demands.
