Damaged crash barriers to be replaced, repaired

Cabinet instructs PWD to ensure public safety

The Himachal Cabinet has approved the proposal for maintenance and replacement of damaged crash barriers to ensure safety of passengers.

Following this decision, the PWD will henceforth not be able to show any laxity in installing crash barriers on the black spot and replacing damaged ones.

The PWD department puts  up crash barriers by marking accident prone black spots. The black spot is selected by a joint team of the police, PWD and HRTC.


Draft proposal for incentives for mega industrial projects The Cabinet also gave its approval to prepare a draft proposal for a customized package of incentives for mega industrial projects in the state under the Himachal Pradesh Industrial Investment Policy and Rules, 2019, to encourage investments in large/mega/ anchor units in the state.

The cabinet also gave its approval to open a new Ayurvedic Health Centre at Chiyal village in Nasogi Panchayat, Manali and also rename the Forest Training Institute and Ranger  College, Sundernagar as Himachal Pradesh Forest Academy. 


Other decisions The Cabinet also approved filling of 20 posts of Naib Tehsildars in the Revenue Department on a regular basis through direct recruitment, renaming Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana to Chief Minister Grihini Suvidha Yojana, Himachal Health Care Scheme-Him Care to Chief Minister Himachal Health Care Scheme- Him care.

A decision was taken to rename the Sahara Yojana as the Chief Minister Sahara Yojana,to open a new section of the Hydel Power department that would create and fill necessary posts at Baijnath in Kangra district. 

Approvals were also passed  to upgrade Government High Schools in Palchan, Jana and Shirad to a senior secondary school and Government Secondary High school.

Halan-1 to senior secondary High school and create 22 posts of different categories there.It was also decided to open new primary schools in Mandi’s Saraj Assembly constituency at Shililarji and Damsed, upgrade the Government secondary school, Shalgad, to Government High school and Government High school Dharot Dhar to Government senior secondary school in Mandi. 

It also decided to upgrade Sainj a sub-tehsil of Kullu district as Tehsil, upgrade the Primary Health Centre in Swarghat, Bilaspur to  Community Health Centre with creation of necessary posts, upgrade the Primary Health Centre at Arsu in Kullu as Community Health Centre, opening of Primary Health Centres at Jagatkhana, Ghatu, Bagipul and Urtu in Kullu and creation of necessary posts for management of  these health institutions.

The Primary Health Centre at Gadsa in Banjar area Kullu will be upgraded and made into a Community Health Centre. It was also decided to create necessary posts for this health institute.
