Classes to commence from Oct 1

Himachal Pradesh University has scheduled counselling for PG courses after the results of the entrance examinations to these courses are declared. HPU will complete admission procedures by September 30 and classes are expected to commence by October 1. A notification issued by the university administration stated that counselling for PG courses will start from September 13.
Schedule for counselling
Counselling for MSc Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environment Science, Chemistry, MSc Mathematics and Physics will be held from September 13 to 15. From September 16 to September 18 counselling for MSc Geography, MCom, MA English, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Performing Arts, MA Rural Development, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Physical Education, MA Sanskrit, Yoga, Defence and Strategic studies will be held.
Counselling for merit-based courses on Sept 20-21
On September 20 and 21, counselling for all merit-based admission courses MCA, MTTM, MBA(RandD, MBA, MTech, MA Journalism and Mass Communication and LLB will be held. Counselling for non-subsidized PG seats will be held on September 24 and 25. Admissions will be open till October 11 based on the approval of the Vice-Chancellor. Regular classes for PG courses will begin on October 1.
MA Education exams from 14
HPU has also released the exam schedule for the second and fourth semesters of MA Education. These exams will start on September 13, The examinations for the fourth semester of BPed will also start from September 14. The schedule is available on the university website. The university has also started the process of filling the form for BSc Nursing, fourth-semester supplementary exams. It can be filled without a late fee till September 9.
