For the second year in a row, there would be no Manimahesh yatra as per the decision of the administration in Bharmour, Chamba district. The decision was taken to prevent spread of Corona.
The yatra was scheduled between August 30 and September 12.
Manimahesh trust meeting held
A meeting of the Manimahesh trust was held and it was presided over by Bharmour additional district magistrate Sanjay Dheeman.
The decision not to allow the Manimahesh yatra this year too was taken in this meeting on Wednesday.
Religious rituals will be allowed
ADM, Bharmour said that religious rituals during Janmashtami and Radhashtami would be allowed. Shiv disciples and some main chhadis of Manimahesh yatra would be allowed to visit Manimahesh.
However, he said, disciples will have to intimate authorities concerned at least 10 days in advance before undertaking the yatra.
