In a significant gathering at Shimla’s Rajiv Bhavan, the Congress party celebrated the one-year anniversary of the “Bharat Jodho Yatra.” Pratibha Singh, the Congress state president, used the occasion to criticize the BJP-led central government, focusing on the controversy surrounding a special parliamentary session and the renaming of India.Pratibha Singh noted that it has been a year since Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, embarked on this 130-day journey across 75 districts in 12 states. The aim was to connect with the people and shed light on how the BJP government was perceived.
She criticized the central government for not addressing issues like inflation and unemployment, leading to disillusionment among the public. This discontent has resulted in the formation of the India Unite Coalition, with various political parties uniting to contest elections.Regarding the debate over renaming India to Bharat, Pratibha Singh clarified that India Unite doesn’t imply changing India’s name and cautioned against misconstruing its intent.
Additionally, she expressed concerns about the lack of information regarding an upcoming parliamentary session, raising questions about its secrecy. The one-year celebration of the India Unite Journey provided Congress with a platform to voice its grievances against the current government. These developments continue to shape the future of Indian politics.
