Congress Marks 139th Foundation Day in Dharamshala

Dharamshala: The Dharamshala unit of the Congress celebrated the party’s 139th Foundation Day at the Dari office. On Thursday, all party organization officials gathered in Dari, affirming their commitment to lead Congress forward with unity. During the event, speakers pledged to uphold the principles of Congress and move forward on its ideologies. Workers recalled and acknowledged the contributions of past presidents.

Following this, Sudhir Sharma, the National Secretary of Congress, presented a detailed account of the accomplishments in the last year. The officials highlighted that during the previous BJP government’s tenure, the Smart City projects in Dharamshala were stalled. However, under Sudhir Sharma’s leadership, these projects gained momentum again. Work on all projects is proceeding swiftly, especially in the Municipal Corporation.

The newly inaugurated Paragliding World Cup in the town of Naurvana has opened a new chapter in tourism. The construction of link roads in the villages of the assembly constituency is receiving emphasis.

Block Congress leaders expressed their commitment to building link roads in the villages of the assembly constituency. The Chief Secretary, Prabodh Saxena, issued orders to this effect.

Sarvan Thapa, Block Vice President, Vikramjeet Sharma, Congress Seva Dal Social Media Coordinator, Munish Mata, Youth Congress President, Vipan Dogra, BDC Vice President, Nisha Choudhary, District Council Member, and Rajkumar Kashyap, Senior Congress Leader, addressed the gathering. The meeting included members from Block Congress, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, Youth Intak, and Seva Dal.

They emphasized that Congress has always worked towards nation-building and is based on parliamentary democracy and equality. They added that the goal of the Indian National Congress is the welfare of the people and the progress of the country. Congress believes in parliamentary democracy in India, where equal opportunities exist for everyone without any discrimination. The party aims to build a country where political and social rights mentioned in the constitution are upheld.
