Shimla: The Congress party in Himachal Pradesh has established a Political Working Committee amidst speculations regarding the expansion of the state’s cabinet. The notification regarding this committee was issued late on Wednesday by K.C. Venugopal, the National Organization General Secretary of Congress.
Notable members of the newly constituted Congress Political Working Committee include Rajeev Shukla, the State Congress In-charge, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, State President Pratibha Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, and Rajya Sabha Member Anand Sharma.
Additionally, ministerial hopefuls and prominent legislators, Rajinder Rana, Sudhir Sharma, and Rajesh Dharmani, have also found a place in the committee. Cabinet ministers Chandrika, Harshvardhan Chauhan, and Dhaniram Shandil have been included as members as well.
Surprisingly, the committee also incorporates leaders who faced defeat in the recent assembly elections, such as Kaul Singh, Asha Kumari, Thakur Singh Bharmauri, Ram Lal Thakur, Rangila Ram Rao, Vinay Kumar, and Kuldeep Kumar.
This move signals an effort by the Congress party to unite its ranks in the state and prepare for future political endeavors.
