DHARAMSHALA: Union Minister Anurag Thakur has said that the BJP won the Assembly elections in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh due to the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president JP Nadda’s hard work and efficiency.
Anurag, who was in Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh to attend the welcome ceremony of Nadda upon his arrival in his native place for the first time after the victory in three states, said people in Karnataka and Himachal were “fed up with false guarantees” of the ruling Congress.
“The popularity of the Prime Minister Modi is continuously increasing all over the world. Under his able leadership the BJP is touching new heights. The way people chose BJP in three states shows that people are happy with the BJP. The party’s vote percentage has also increased in these elections. On the contrary, Congress is an example of how a government is formed on false guarantees,” he said.
Anurag said the Congress had done the same thing in Karnataka and Himachal and now the people of both the states were fed up with them. He said that wherever there was a Congress government, “corruption remained at its peak”. Regarding the attack on Parliament, Anurag said that the matter was being investigated.
