Competence is Essential for Construction Work in Hill States: MRC Group

Dharamshala: The MRC Group, known for developing modern bus stands in Himachal Pradesh, emphasizes that competence is crucial for executing construction projects in hill states. The group has completed a state-of-the-art bus stand in Una district, with similar projects underway in Chintpurni and Dharamshala.
Parvesh Sharma, Director of MRC Group, highlighted the importance of expertise in such projects. He was participating in the Shining Star Awards 2024. It was a platform to honour the meritorious students of the Kangra region.
“We constructed the Una bus stand, which now accommodates around 10,000 to 15,000 people at any given time. Competence is essential for any project involving public use,” said Sharma.
He noted the unique challenges of construction in hilly regions but reassured that MRC Group has hired experts from top institutes such as NIT and IIT to tackle these issues. “We’ve encountered situations where retaining walls we built one day would collapse the next due to the unstable terrain. Therefore, we have specialists for soil testing and other technical support,” added Sharma.
