Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has called upon officers of the Himachal Administrative Services to come up with innovative ideas to formulate programmes and policies that will bring about the uplift and welfare of every section of society.
CM inaugurates bhawan
The Chief Minister was addressing trainees of the Himachal Administrative Service on Wednesday after inaugurating the Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration’s (HIPA) Kalpataru Bhavan at a cost of Rs 4.34 crores. Thakur also launched HIPA’s e-office and Wall-e on the occasion.
CM talks about dedication, commitment
The chief minister said all officers of the administrative services should work with dedication and commitment so as to live up to public expectations as people have certain perceptions and expectations about politicians and government employees. They could thus contribute to the development of the state, he pointed out.
Book released
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released a book by Dr Rajeev Bansal and Dr Manoj Sharma, “Citizen empowerment-A study of e-governance” and another book written by Dr Rajeev Bansal “Stepping Stones- A compendium of case studies.” The Chief Minister also interacted with HAS trainees and wished them a bright future.
Training is crucial factor
Sandeep Bhatnagar, Secretary, Administrative reforms and rural development, speaking during the occasion stated that training is a crucial factor for trainees to gain a better insight and understanding of government work. He added that HIPA has qualified and trained in-house faculty, which was very necessary and important for new officers joining government services.
