Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur expressed concern about the landslide in Nalda village in Lahaul-Spiti district that obstructed the flow of the Chandrabhaga river posing a serious danger for over a dozen villages. The CM said that he had deputed a team led by tribal welfare minister Dr Ramlal Markanda to the spot to assess the situation.

Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh and Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu also inspected the area along with the team. He said that the Chandrabhaga river had started flowing again but he urged residents to stay away from the river and also avoid landslide-prone areas.
