Chief Minister lays foundation stones for projects worth Rs 7.02 crores in Kwar

Chief minister Jairam Thakur laid foundation stones of development projects worth Rs 7.02 crores in the remote areas of Rohru Assembly constituency in Shimla. 
Pledges more projectsAddressing a public meeting at Kwar, the Chief Minister pledged Rs 20 lakh for opening a sub-division of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board at Dodra Kwar, starting a junior engineering section at the Hydel Power department at Dodra, Rs 20 lakh for the development of Jiskoon road and various developmental projects in five panchayats of the area. He also announced Rs 15 lakhs to be given to every panchayat for these works.

Drinking water supply schemes

The Chief Minister also discussed various drinking water supply schemes to be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.84 crores under the Hydel Power department of Kwar sub-division, lift water supply scheme to be set up at a cost of Rs 1.16 crore for the remaining settlements of Kitarwadi village of Kwar Panchayat, Rs 79 lakhs for Dodra village, Rs 60 lakh for Dhandharwadi village in Dhandharwadi panchayat, Rs 23 lakhs for  Jhakha village  in Jhakha Panchayat and  Rs 40 lakhs for Jiskoon village in Dodra panchayat for lift water schemes in these areas for which foundation stones were laid.

He also pledged to open an office of a Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) in Kwar, provide Rs 10 lakhs to each panchayat for the construction of new panchayat buildings in the six newly formed panchayats of Rohru Assembly constituency and Rs 15 thousand to each of the 17 Mahila Mandal in the area from the voluntary fund.

He also said that the government would discuss the issue of setting up of BSNL and Airtel towers in the area for better connectivity and improved signal capacity, with the concerned authorities.
