Being an engineering marvel this bridge is a lifeline for locals by connecting Chicham village to Kibber and Kaza, reducing atleast 2-3 hours of travel time. Secondly it has reduced the traveling distance between Kibber and Lohsar by 40kms.
After 15 years of rigorous work and expenditure of 485.50 lakh rupees in 2018 this bridge was opened for public.
