CEO Manish Garg launches ‘Election Quiz’ app for poll staff; developed by Kangra DC Hemraj Bairwa

Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Manish Garg on Friday launched the ‘Election Quiz’ mobile app, an initiative taken by Kangra Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Hemraj Bairwa.
The mobile app has been designed and developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC), Himachal Pradesh, and will be available on Android as well as iOS formats. This app will be used by all polling officials who will be deployed on election duty in the June 1 Lok Sabha elections 2024.
The quiz consisting of 20 MCQ random questions have to be answered and if the performance is not up to the mark, then individuals can attempt the quiz again. The strengths and weaknesses of the staff will be available to returning officers (ROs) and assistant returning officers (AROs).
All the score of previous attempts will be available to individual polling official in this app. The response given by individuals and the correct answer of each wrong question will also be shown to the individual.
The idea behind the initiative is to familiarise the presiding officers, polling officials and micro-observers with the rules of election process and to help them understand as to what their duties are the steps that need to be taken in different situations that are likely to appear on polling day. In addition to the election quiz, training material has also been made available in the app.
