CABINET MEET TAKES KEY DECISIONS

Educational institutions to remain closed till Sept 14

All educational institutions in the state will remain closed for the next 10 days, till September 14.

This decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on Saturday.

The cabinet has decided to continue with all existing Covid restrictions and bring into force all decisions announced by the Chief Minister during his visits to several constituencies in the recent past.

Appointing junior technicians

The Cabinet has decided to fill up 12 posts of Junior Technicians (electrical) in the Public Works Department through direct recruitment on a contract basis, 4 posts of drivers in Paragpur, Kaza, Baijnath and Ghumarwin development blocks under the rural development department, Agricultural University of Palampur.

It has also been decided to fill up 6 posts of Associate Directors.

Construction of 3 additional rooms in the rest house in Sarahar at  Pachad area of Sirmaur, construction of a new rest house of the Public Works Department at Baldwaraa in Mandi and a rest house of the Public Works Department at Shillai in Sirmaur was also approved during the Cabinet meeting.

Additional housing in the area was also approved.

New sub-division of hydel power department in Ranital

The Cabinet also approved the creation of a sub-division (citizen) in Kotli, Mandi, for the convenience of the people in the area, the creation of necessary posts for the management of dispensaries along with the opening of a veterinary dispensary in the base village of Chamba Panchayat, a new sub-division of the hydel power department in Ranital which falls under Jal Shakti Mandal Shahpur and opening of a new section in Thakurdwara under this sub-division.

Approval was given to open a new hydel power department for the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba under hydel power sub-division, Udaipur, and opening of the Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya at Chanol in Sundernagar assembly constituency.

Additional decisions

With the opening of a new health block office at Ragarh in Sirmaur, the Cabinet approved the creation of a necessary post in Naggar education block of Kullu district, in Gallang village, Paridhar village panchayat as also in education block, Kullu-2, in Sarali village of Bastori gram panchayat.

Opening of a new government primary school, up-gradation of the existing government high school at Tatwali in Fatehpur area of Kangra and Nadoli in Jwali to Government senior secondary school, as well as creation and filling of 12 posts of different categories.

The government medium school in Shahpur, Kareri Khas,  will be upgraded to Government High School.

The Cabinet also approved Government High School Jalot at Pathshala and Nagrota Bhagavan to Government senior secondary school and creation of necessary posts for their smooth implementation.

Approval to upgrade Government Primary schools Jaghi, Dhamgran, Royal and Kakala to  Government secondary schools in Chamba Assembly constituency and create and fill 12 posts of different categories, to start commerce classed in the Government senior secondary school, Kyolidhar, Mandi in Mandi district was also passed.

The cabinet also decided to start science subjects in the Government Senior Secondary schools of Dhadon, Bassi, Bakkhali and Deodhar and creation of necessary posts in the Government Senior secondary school Gandhi in Jhandutta area of Bilaspur for science subjects.

Science subjects will also begin at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government college, Takipur, Kangra. Approval was also given to start classes and upgrade Government High School Jharmajri of Doon area of Solan alsong with the creation and filling up of necessary posts in the Senior Secondary school.

In this connection, approval was given to fill two posts of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service on a regular basis through direct recruitment through the Himachal Pradesh Combined Competitive Examination-2021.
