Congress national spokesperson Pawan Kheda launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP at the Centre, particularly targeting PM Narendra Modi, during a press conference held in Dharamsala on Saturday.
This press conference was one of 35 being held on Saturday throughout the country as part of the Congress campaign “9 saal 9 sawaal.”
It covers various topics, including the economy, agriculture and farming, corruption and cronyism, China and national security, social harmony, social justice, democracy and federalism, welfare schemes, and COVID-19 mismanagement.
Kheda questioned the inflation and skyrocketing unemployment, the lack of guaranteed minimum support price (MSP) and the failure to double farmers’ income.
He also blamed Modi for favouring Adani through investments by LIC and SBI. Congress raised a major question about Modi’s clean chit to China, despite its occupation of Indian territory.
Another major issue raised by Congress was the mismanagement of COVID-19, which allegedly led to the death of 40 lakh people.
He stated that the recent victories of Congress in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka indicate a strong anti-BJP wave in the country. He said that by making blunders, Modi is inadvertently working for the Congress, effectively completing 50 percent of Congress’s tasks.
Ironically, while it is a known fact that the BJP ‘only’ relies on PM Modi, even the Congress leaders feel that he (Modi) is working for their party.
