Dharamshala: In a bold statement, BJP leader Rahul Pathania has called on Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to stop giving statements about loans during the ongoing budget session and in public functions too.
BJP Leader Criticizes CM’s Loan Discussion
Pathania criticized the CM’s repeated mention of a 70,000 crore burden, stating that the state’s budget is around 50 crore. He emphasized that such discussions are not the government’s business. Rather governemnt should support entreprenuers to do business and to generate taxes to get revenue.
Entrepreneurial Perspective
As a successful entrepreneur, Pathania highlighted the natural correlation between turnovers and loans. He argued that the government should prioritize governance over business-oriented discussions.
Ready for Debate
Expressing his willingness for a debate even with the Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Pathania asserted that publicly lamenting about loans is not a sustainable governance approach.
Developmental Focus
Shifting the narrative, Pathania underscored the importance of supporting large businesses in projects like the bulk drug park. He suggested that this approach could contribute significantly to state revenue through increased taxes.
Political Aspirations
Known for his role in BJP MLA Ranveer Singh Nikka’s victory from Nurpur, Pathania is now eyeing a parliamentary seat from Kangra district, showcasing his intent for larger political responsibilities.
Pathania’s critique highlights the need for a shift in focus during the budget session, urging the government to concentrate on effective governance rather than dwelling on financial intricacies.
