Dalhousie: Work on clearing roads following fresh snowfall in Chamba district’s Dalhousie town has been undertaken by the Border Road Organisation (BRO).
However, clearing the roads in the upper reaches of Dalhousie is proving to be challenging for the BRO given the continuous snowfall in those regions.
The area near Dainkund, 9000 feet above sea level, witnessed fresh snowfall. The BRO commenced operation to make the road motorable which is essential given the Indian Air Force station situated there. Two snow cutters of the BRO have been pressed into action on this stretch to remove the heavy snow.
