Dharamshala: The body of a 45-year-old woman named Kusum was found under a bridge nearly 3 km away from her home in ward 2 of Gadiyada village, under the jurisdiction of Bhawarna police station. ASP Hitesh Lakhanpal confirmed the case to be registered as murder under section 302 of IPC.
Kusum had left her home for Palampur on Thursday (Apr 18) but when she didn’t arrive, her family and police initiated a search.
Her body was found with strangulation marks on her neck.
The victim’s husband, Kalyan Chand Nar, has urged the police to swiftly apprehend the culprits. Forensic teams have also been deployed to gather evidence at the crime scene.
