BJP workers flout Covid rules at Jan Ashirwad Yatra

Fears of a further spike in active cases looms large

Amid fears of a third wave and the present spike in Covid cases in Himachal, Union minister Anurag Thakur’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra has paved way for these fears to turn to reality.

Party workers flouting Covid norms

Hundreds of BJP party workers thronging the rally were seen openly flouting all Covid norms without wearing masks and resorting to social distancing for which the state might have to pay the price considering the present worsening Covid situation. Cases have been on a rapid upward trend for the past three weeks.

There is sweetness in the music of Himachal, we have to spread it all over the world: Anurag Thakur

Union information and broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur said in Shimla that there is a particular sweetness in the music of Himachal which is famous all over the country. However, it is now necessary to promote Himachal’s culture and heritage throughout the world, he said. Speaking on the topic, Thakur said that the paintings of the state could leave a deep impact and as such it has to be taken to the entire world. Earlier, he flagged off the Fit India Run organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra from Peterhoff in Shimla.

PM considers Himachal his second home

Anurag Thakur said that the honour and respect that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the state, has given it a special place of pride in the country. He also stated that the Prime minister considers Himachal his second home.
