Chamba: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to stage a protest at the state assembly on September 25. The aim of this protest is to demand accountability from the Congress party for the 10 guarantees promised to the public during the state assembly elections.
Leading this assembly protest, 600 BJP workers from Chamba district, under the leadership of Dheeraj Narayal, the district BJP president, will converge in Shimla. Subhash Mahajan, co-media in-charge of the BJP in Chamba district, provided this information. He stated that BJP workers from all 12 districts of the state will gather in the state capital, Shimla, on September 25. Alongside the assembly protest, all members of the BJP legislative party will join party workers in demonstrating against the government.
Mahajan explained that the BJP is compelled to take this step because the Congress party made false promises to the people of Himachal Pradesh in the name of 10 guarantees to secure power. He added that despite being in power for 9 months, the Congress party has not fulfilled a single promise, including providing every woman with ₹1500, increasing milk prices, and procuring cow dung, among other 7 guarantees.
He remarked that during these months, nepotism and favoritism have been rampant.Mahajan emphasized that Chamba district has 6 BJP mandals, and 100 workers from each mandal will participate in this event.
