Top leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, here for a three day conclave from June 15, were not able to douse the fire ignited within the party by party MLA from Jwalamukhi, Ramesh Dhwala.
Dhwala, while talking to media, post the three-day party conclave, said that some within the party have become dictatorial and are trying to run a parallel party organisation. While the conclave concluded with the claims that all party leaders are united, two days later Dhwala fired a salvo.
Last year Dhwala had targeted party organisation secretary Pawan Rana following which Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and party state president Suresh Kashyap intervened to work out a truce.
Though BJP claimed that there is no more ill will between Dhwala and Rana, the fresh salvo fired by Jwalamukhi MLA are indicating something else prior to the proposed three bypolls in the state.
Infighting had cost BJP dear in the municipal corporation polls in the state where Congress had won two civic bodies whereas BJP won Mandi and managed to wrest control in Dharamshala civic body with the help of independent corporators.
Dhawala said that he had raised some pertinent issues in the party conclave and urged senior party leaders to ensure better coordination between the government and party organisation. He said attempts to prop up leaders at divisional level against the existing organisational set up would harm the party.
