DHARAMSHALA: BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed party workers at Zorawar Stadium in Dharamshala on Saturday as he blew the poll bugle for Lok Sabha elections from the Kangra parliamentary constituency.
Nadda is on a two-day visit to Dharamshala where he would be finalising the BJP’s electoral strategy for the Lok Sabha elections. He addressed a crowd of enthusiastic supporters amidst inclement weather conditions.
Expressing his gratitude to the dedicated party workers braving the adverse weather, Nadda invoked the sacred names of Mata temples in Kangra, emphasising the spiritual and cultural significance embedded within the region.
In his address, Nadda heralded a transformative shift in India’s trajectory, attributing the nation’s progress to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership. He underscored India’s ascendance on the global stage, heralding advancements in education, healthcare and overall development under the Modi administration.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to gender empowerment, Nadda lauded the budgetary provisions aimed at uplifting women, including the ambitious initiative to empower three crore women under the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme.
Reflecting on the evolution of Indian politics, Nadda extolled the virtues of accountability and meritocracy prevailing in contemporary India, juxtaposing it with the caste-driven politics of yesteryears. He lauded Modi’s decisive leadership in dismantling archaic systems and fostering an ethos of inclusivity and progress.
Drawing attention to landmark achievements, Nadda reminisced about witnessing historic milestones, including the momentous consecration of the Ram Mandir idol and the abrogation of Article 370. He credited Modi’s resolute leadership for realizing the aspirations of millions and propelling India towards unprecedented heights.
Addressing national security concerns, Nadda underscored the Modi government’s unwavering commitment to strengthening India’s defence capabilities, highlighting the transformative strides made in fortifying border security and responding decisively to external threats.
