CHAMBA: There has been intermittent rain in Bharmour since Sunday night due to which the temperature near Manimahesh Dal Lake has dropped to 2 degrees Celsius. Helicopter service started for devotees from Bharmour-Gaurikund on Monday morning, but it could run smoothly only for a short time. Due to bad weather, the air service has been stopped. Bharmour Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Tanwar said though the weather is bad, the yatra continues to remain smooth. He said that there is light drizzle on Gaurikund and Manimahesh Dal Lake, which has not affected the yatra arrangements and the enthusiasm of the devotees. He said that as long as the situation remains under control, the yatra will continue smoothly and only when it is felt that it is felt necessary, the yatra will be stopped. This time, the ‘shahi snan’ at Manimahesh will start on the afternoon of September 22, 2023. According to the local people, one year it is cold and the next year it is hot. The administration says that people should not take this journey lightly because not only is it considered a very difficult journey from the geographical point of view, the weather keeps changing frequently in Gaurikund and Manimahesh Dal Lake above Dhancho. Therefore, people should carry warm clothes with them.
