Raja Ka Talab: Government Senior Secondary School, Raja Ka Talab, hosted a block-level art festival competition on Friday, with eight schools from the region participating. The students showcased their talents in various endangered art forms, delivering outstanding performances that captivated the audience.
Chief Guest and Event Inauguration
The festival began with an inauguration by Hindi lecturer Prakash Pathania, who was the chief guest of the event. Principal Dr. Inder Singh warmly welcomed him, and the program commenced with the traditional Saraswati Poojan, setting a spiritual tone for the event.\
Cultural Performances and Categories
The students displayed impressive skills in various categories such as solo and group singing, dance, visual arts, mono-acting, group plays, story reading, and both vocal and instrumental music. The festival kicked off with Akriti from Raja Ka Talab School delivering a captivating solo singing performance.
Key Winners and Performances
Raja Ka Talab School led the competition, excelling in multiple categories. Komal took top honors in mono-acting, Jayanti stood out in story reading, and the school claimed victory in group play, visual arts, and group singing. Ganooh School also performed notably, with Kajal winning first place in solo singing and Krish taking first place in the instrumental category for tabla. Akriti from Raja Ka Talab secured second place in solo singing, while Akash from Kamanala placed second in the instrumental category.
Preparation for the Zonal Level
The winners will now compete in the zonal competition, scheduled for September 24 in Nurpur. Principal Dr. Inder Singh presented mementos to the top performers and expressed confidence in their ability to succeed at the next level, wishing them all the best for the upcoming challenge.
