Dharamshala/Indora/Pathankot: Arni University, one of India’s premier educational institutions, roared with the thunderous sounds of high-end bikes as it hosted a spectacular bike rally aimed at raising awareness about drug abuse.

The rally, graced by top models from Harley Davidson to Himalayan and Royal Enfield, showcased the university’s commitment to social causes.

The event was kicked off by Vice-Chancellor Vivek Singh on Saturday morning, with the rally tracing its route through significant landmarks such as Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s village, ‘Khatkar Kalan’ in Punjab.

According to Tirlochan Singh, Registrar of the university, the rally featured approximately 100 bikes, including an impressive contingent of 10 female bikers. Setting off from the university campus, the rally made its way through Pathankot before culminating in Dharamshala, spreading its message of ‘Say No to Drugs’ along the way.

Amidst a halt in Pathankot, the rally received a poignant start as parents of martyrs flagged off the event, symbolizing the collective resolve to combat drug abuse. Upon reaching Dharamshala, the rally was graced by various dignitaries, including Padma Shree Awardees, adding significance to the occasion.

Leading the charge were renowned biking groups like Rang De Basant (RDB) and ‘The Thumpers Cafe,’ with bikers hailing from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and Delhi, showcasing a spirit of unity and purpose.
