Mandi: Yet another FIR has been registered against Pranshul Saini on the complaint of another girl ex-student of his tuition centre, called Breathing Minds, located in local Sen Mohalla on the allegations of sexual assault.
This is the third FIR within four days registered in women’s police station Mandi under various sections of the POCSO Act and IPC against Saini who has been running this tuition cum coaching centre.
The accused had applied and got interim bail from the local court.
According to the police, the alleged offences have taken place over the last year till recently.
Earlier, two minor girls, studying in Class VIII and Class X, had accused him of molesting them at the centre.
The police registered a case under various provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against Saini and started investigations.
According to the complaints, Saini had allegedly indulged in inappropriate behaviour with the Class X student in December and again five days ago.
The girl initially dismissed the inappropriate touch as an accident, but when the teacher allegedly harassed her with explicit actions, she left the coaching centre and informed her friends.
Her friends accompanied by her sister later brought the matter to her parents’ attention, who then approached the police station.
When the issue came to light, the other girl of Class VIII too came forward with her complaint against the same teacher.
According to police, a case was registered on January 10 under section 354A of the IPC and sections 9 and 12 of the POCSO Act. The police sources said no arrest had been made yet.
