Shimla :In a historic move, employees of the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat have come together on a common platform, forming the Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat Confederation. Representatives from various employee associations and unions within the Secretariat, including the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Officers Association, State Secretariat P.S.-P.A Association, Secretariat Services Employees Union, Secretariat Drivers Union, and Fourth Class Employees Union, have collectively established the Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat Confederation.
Today, a meeting was held at the State Secretariat, where representatives from these five organizations discussed the creation of a unified confederation. Recognizing the challenges faced by individual unions in effectively presenting their issues before the government, the decision to form the confederation was reached. The newly formed organization, named the Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat Confederation, will now represent all the employees’ associations within the Secretariat.
Sanjeev Sharma, the newly appointed president of the Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat Confederation, expressed the need to address various issues affecting the employees. He highlighted pending matters such as the demand for Dearness Allowance (DA) and arrears, among other concerns. Sharma emphasized that the confederation would play a pivotal role in presenting these issues effectively to the government. The plan involves preparing a joint memorandum representing all organizations within the confederation and submitting it to the government promptly.
The leadership structure of the State Secretariat Confederation includes Geeta Sharma as the Chief Advisor, Sanjeev Sharma as the President, Gopal Datt, Tekaram Sharma, and Amar Chauhan as Senior Vice Presidents, and Narendra Bharadwaj, Raman Sharma, and Gurudev Sharma as Vice Presidents. Additionally, Kamal Krishna Sharma has been appointed as the General Secretary, and Jyoti Chauhan, Devendra Kumar, Satish Kumar, and Sahil Verma will serve as secretaries.
In the position of Joint Secretaries, Hukm Singh Hukki, Akunsh Kumar, Om Prakash, Bhushan Lata, and Ali Mohammad have been appointed. Ram Pal Sharma has been elected as the Treasurer. The executive members of the five participating organizations have also been selected as executive members of the Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat Confederation.
The formation of this confederation marks a significant step in bringing together the voices of Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat employees, ensuring a collective and unified approach in addressing their concerns before the government.
