Shimla: A cabinet meeting was held at Shimla on Friday aheda of budget session and parliamentary elections.
Address by Governor Approved
During the cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu, the cabinet sanctioned the Governor’s address for the upcoming budget session of the 14th State Legislative Assembly.
State Selection Commission Rules Formulated
The cabinet gave the green light for the formulation of rules related to the processes and operations of the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission.
Sub-Committee for Exam Result Delays
A ministerial sub-committee, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, was formed to address the delay in examination results due to police investigations by the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur.
Review of Surplus Government Land:
Another ministerial sub-committee, led by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, was established to review surplus government land and underutilized buildings.
New Sub-District Office in Baddi:
The cabinet approved the opening of a sub-district office (civil) in Baddi, Solan district, with similar offices approved in Patta (Kangra district) and Palampur (Kangra district).
Direct Recruitment in Administrative Services:
Sanctioning direct recruitment, the cabinet approved filling five posts under the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services through the Combined Competitive Examination.
Direct Recruitment in Revenue Department:
In the Revenue Department, the cabinet approved the direct recruitment of nine Tehsildar Grade ‘A’ posts and 19 Naib Tehsildar Grade ‘A’ posts.
Creation of New Revenue Circle:
A new revenue circle will be created in Jharmajri, under the Baddi Tehsil, Solan district, along with a new Patwari-cum-Village Level Officer circle.
Direct Recruitment in Planning Department:
Direct recruitment was sanctioned for seven posts in the Planning Department.
Posts for Tourism Development Officers:
For the districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti, the cabinet approved the creation and filling of six posts for Assistant Tourism Development Officer offices.
Mission Vatsalya Scheme Implementation:
As part of the Mission Vatsalya scheme, the cabinet decided to fill four positions for District Child Protection Officers.
