DHARAMSALA: Manvi from Snower Valley Public School at Bajaura in Kullu district has stood first with 99.14 per cent marks (694/700) in the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education’s (HPBOSE) Class X examination, the results of which were declared on Thursday.
Diksha Kathyal from Government Senior Secondary School at Chabutra in Hamirpur district secured the second rank with 99 per cent (693/700) marks. The third position was shared by two students of Hamirpur district with 98.86 per cent marks (692/700)—Akarshak Thakur from Government Senior Secondary School at Badaran and Akshit Sharma of New Era Senior Secondary School at Parol.
HPBOSE Secretary Vishal Sharma said the pass percentage in the Class X examination stood at 89.7 per cent. A total of 91,440 students appeared in the board examination this year, of whom 81,732 have passed.
