In Dharamshala, a coalition of six dissatisfied leaders and three independent legislators released a joint statement today, asserting that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu must face allegations against him in court, as all nine leaders are now preparing to file a defamation lawsuit against him.
The dissenting leaders, including Rajendra Rana, Sudhir Sharma, Indira Datt Lakhnapal, Ravi Thakur, Devendra Bhutto Chaitanya Sharma, Hoshiar Singh, Ashish Sharma, and K.L. Thakur, expressed concerns that Sukhhu’s government has become apprehensive after losing the majority, fearing that their misdeeds and those of their allies would be exposed once they lose power.
They accused Sukhhu of being the most unfortunate Chief Minister in Himachal Pradesh, alleging that he shut the doors of employment for youth upon assuming office, discarded Congress’ manifesto, and depleted the treasury during his tenure. They sarcastically remarked that when allies were plundering, it was inevitable for the treasury to be emptied.
The leaders further alleged that Sukhhu has turned a blind eye to the open looting by his associates, who are openly extorting money from the public and purchasing properties worth millions. They claimed that while Sukhhu accuses them of being sellouts, he must explain to the public why he relentlessly persecuted these nine legislators over the past 14 months, halting development projects in their constituencies. They pledged to soon present all the facts before the public.
The dissident leaders declared that the entire state now knows who paid how much to secure and retain the Chief Minister’s chair. They criticized Sukhhu for indulging in such activities himself while accusing others. They also advised Sukhhu to introspect on his actions.
