Dharamshala: Rakesh Sharma, the spokesperson for the Pradesh BJP, countered statements made by Congress leaders at JP Nadda’s recent rally in Dharamshala, asserting that the rally sent a message of victory for BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections across the state.
Sharma addressed the press on Sunday, emphasizing that the enthusiastic crowd from Kangra district at Nadda’s rally conveyed a clear electoral message. He criticized Congress leaders for their divisive rhetoric and highlighted BJP’s unity and discipline compared to the internal conflicts within the Congress government.
Sharma pointed out the ongoing protests in the district demanding the release of ₹30 crore for the State Employment Guarantee Scheme (SEGS), criticizing the government for its failure to fulfill promises, which reflects its anti-youth stance.
He raised concerns about the rampant unemployment in the state and the delay in setting up the state selection commission, leaving thousands of youths awaiting job opportunities. Sharma noted the disillusionment of the youth with false promises made by Congress during elections, urging them to hold the government accountable instead of targeting BJP leaders.
