6 Himachal IAS officers deployed for election duty in 2 states, departments reassigned to others

Ahead of the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, six IAS officers from Himachal Pradesh have been deployed on election duties in the two states.
The six officers —Gopal Chand, KK Saroch, DC Rana, Ram Kumar Gautam, Pradeep Kumar Thakur and Priyanka Verma — will assist in overseeing elections in both states, along with byelections in 48 Assembly seats and two Lok Sabha constituencies.
To ensure continuity within Himachal Pradesh’s administration, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has issued a notification assigning additional responsibilities to other IAS officers who will temporarily oversee the departments affected by these reassignments.
In light of the upcoming election duty, various departmental responsibilities have been redistributed to maintain operations across state departments. According to the Chief Secretary’s directive:

Raghav Sharma, who currently leads the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, will also serve as the CEO-cum-MD of Shimla Smart City.

Arindam Chaudhary, Special Secretary for MPP and Power, has received the additional responsibilities of Director and Special Secretary of Disaster Management and Director of Environment Science and Technology.
Reema Kashyap, MD of HP Agro Industry Corporation Limited, now holds additional responsibility as Director of Food Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs, Himachal Pradesh.
Manish Kumar, Additional Controller of the Stores Department, has been assigned as Director of the National Health Mission (NHM).
