Junga,(Shimla): The 53rd Foundation Day of the First Armed Corps was celebrated with grandeur in Junga on Wednesday. The chief guest at the event was Rohit Malpani, Commander of the First Armed Corps, Junga. Officers, employees, and local residents from various offices in Junga also attended the celebration.
The event featured a variety of colorful programs organized by corps employees and the HP Police Orchestra. Participants in these programs were honored with prizes by Commander Rohit Malpani.
During the ceremony, Commander Malpani read a congratulatory message from Atul Verma, Director General of Police, Himachal Pradesh, and extended his own congratulations to the officers and employees of the corps on this significant day.
Babita Rana, Deputy Commander of Junga, presented an administrative report highlighting the developmental works being undertaken by the corps. Additionally, Commander Malpani and Mr. Vivek Rahar, Regional Manager of the State Bank of India, planted saplings within the corps premises, symbolizing their commitment to environmental sustainability.
In a commendable act of service, a blood donation camp was organized by the Rotary Club, Hills Queen Shimla, at the IAF Junga. During the camp, 30 soldiers from IAF Junga donated blood, showcasing their dedication to helping the community.
The 53rd Foundation Day celebration not only marked the achievements and progress of the First Armed Corps but also reinforced the corps’ commitment to community service and environmental stewardship.
