Dharamshala, September 9th – MLA Keval Singh Pathania announced the commencement of road construction projects with an estimated cost of 45 lakhs for Bhoi Road and 8 lakhs for the first floor of the Rajol Veterinary Hospital building. He addressed the residents and emphasized the importance of providing better access through road infrastructure to all panchayats in the Shahpur assembly area. The demand for road construction had been a long-standing one from the people of Bhoi village situated on the banks of the Gaj Khad. Pathania expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for allocating funds to prevent flooding in Rajol, with a budget of 1.65 crore. He also highlighted the commitment of the current government to ensure overall development in rural areas and mentioned plans to start free coaching classes in an OBC building in the Bandi-Kalyar OBC majority region. Additionally, Pathania mentioned the allocation of 85 lakhs for the construction of Shahpur Civil Hospital to provide better healthcare facilities in the area. He assured that funds would not be a hindrance to development projects in the Shahpur region, and government officials have been given clear directives for timely resolution of people’s issues. Public outreach programs initiated by the MLA were also mentioned in his address.
Prior to this, Balbir Chaudhary, former head of the Kalyar Panchayat, expressed gratitude to the MLA during the road’s foundation stone laying ceremony, stating that the long-pending demand of the people had finally been fulfilled. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the SDM, Kartar Chand, Tehsildar, ADO of the Construction Department, and officials from the Water Resources Department, as well as local leaders and residents.
