SHIMLA: Three persons were killed in an accident after the tipper they were travelling fell into a gorge in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh on Monday morning.
According to information, the accident occurred as the tipper driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve in Chirgaon area of Rohru subdivision in Shimla. All those killed were labourers and were engaged by a private contractor for construction work. Five other persons are said to be injured and admitted to hospital. As soon as information about the accident was received, the police team left for the spot.
The police have lodged a complaint and has been ascertaining the exact reason behind the accident. More details, including the identities of the victims, are awaited.
