More than 123 roads, including Shimla-Mandi National Highway 205, have come to a standstill due to heavy rains in most parts of the state since 4 am on Thursday.
Similarly, NH 03 at Nehru Kund in Manali was blocked for an hour due to a landslide at 4.15 pm. NH 05 from Parwanoo to Kinnaur was also blocked for some time due to landslides at different places.
Civilian movement was also badly affected due to closure of roads at places.
Damage caused Seven kutcha houses and nine cowsheds have been damaged to due continuous rain in the state for over 16 hours.
This has taken the damage to government and non-government property up to Rs 1108.30 crores. On Thursday, 10 people lost their lives in the state due to various rain related accidents.
According to the Meteorological department, rains will continue in the state for the next five days. This is expected to increase the incidence of landslides and damages.
